Grey hair

When there is a lack of vitamin B12 or folic acid (vitamin B9), gray hair can appear early.

These vitamins help to produce methionine and nucleic acids, which are related to hair color.

Foods rich in folic acid include: chickpeas, beans, lentils, asparagus, spinach, rice and pasta.

Vitamin B12 is found in meat, milk, cheese, egg yolks, brewer’s yeast, liver, kidneys and oysters.
